Nanjing Normal University (NNU) is a high-level National “Double First-Class” construction university in Jiangsu. The main source of the university can be traced back to the Sanjiang Normal School established in 1902, which is one of the birthplaces of higher normal education in China. NNU has produced many famous masters and scholars, with a profound cultural heritage. 南京师范大学地理科学学院2017年地理学入选国家“双一流”建设学科，2018年地球科学学科进入ESI前1%。学院拥有卓越的师资队伍和丰富的教学资源，专注于培育具有国际视野和创新能力的杰出人才。拥有地理学博士后流动站、地理学一级学科博士授权点，形成了本科-硕士-博士-博士后完整的人才培养体系。拥有6个教学系，6个本科专业，专业门类涉及地理学、测绘科学及管理学。学院将继续瞄准国家科技发展战略，努力建成国内一流、国际有影响的地理学科学研究、高层次人才培养和地理工程实验基地。
The School of Geographical Sciences, Nanjing Normal University, was selected into the national "Double First-Class" construction discipline in 2017, and the Earth Sciences discipline entered the top 1% of ESI in 2018. It boasts an outstanding faculty and abundant teaching resources, focusing on cultivating outstanding talents with an international perspective and innovative capabilities. It has a postdoctoral research station in geography, a first-level discipline doctoral authorization point in geography, and has formed a complete talent training system from undergraduate to master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral. It has 6 teaching departments, 6 undergraduate majors, and its disciplines cover geography, surveying and mapping engineering, and management science. The college will continue to focus on the national science and technology development strategy, and strive to build a domestic first-class and internationally influential scientific research, high-level talent training, and geographical engineering experiment base in the Yangtze River Delta.
[项目背景及特色 Project Background and Characteristics]
以地理科学学院承担的国家自然科学基金委与联合国环境规划署合作项目--“典型沿海城市群水-粮食-生态协同的SDG交互预测与实施途径优化”，以及国家自然科学基金项目--“面向SDGs多目标协同的长三角城市群空间演变模拟研究”为依托，以两门江苏高校外国留学生英文授课精品课程和四门地理学博士生全英文教学课程的教学内容为基础，建立包括课程、长江岸线艺术与科学、大运河文化、长三角美丽乡村建设、江苏新能源产业、南京古城文化与城市更新等六个与可持续发展相关的学术体验内容模块多元化的课程内容，致力于为国内外学生搭建一个深入探究江苏地理文化、拓展国际视野的学习交流平台。
实践教学环节：组织学生前往长三角地区的企业、社区和环保项目进行实地考察，深入了解可持续发展的实际应用，提升学生的实践技能。
文化体验活动：组织学生参与中国传统文化体验、参观历史古迹等，领略江苏的历史文化底蕴和地域特色。
资深教学团队：邀请知名专家学者亲临授课，分享长三角可持续发展的最新研究成果和实践经验，分享前沿的研究成果和实践经验。
小组讨论：学生们将分成小组，就相关议题进行深入讨论和交流，培养团队合作和创新思维。
The summer school is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the United Nations Environment Program cooperative project - "Synergistic Prediction and Implementation Path Optimization of Water-Food-Ecology in Typical Coastal Urban Agglomerations under the SDG Interaction", and the National Natural Science Foundation project - "Simulation Research on the Spatial Evolution of the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration Oriented to Multi-Objective Synergy of SDGs". Based on the teaching content of two Jiangsu university foreign students' English-taught boutique courses and four doctoral English-taught courses in geography, the diverse courses include six academic experience modules related to sustainable development, such the Yangtze River coastline art and science, the Grand Canal culture, the beautiful rural construction in the Yangtze River Delta, the new energy industry in Jiangsu, and the culture and urban renewal of the ancient city of Nanjing. The summer school dedicates to building a learning and communication platform for domestic and foreign students to explore the geographical and cultural of Jiangsu in depth and expand their international perspective.
Practical teaching link: Organize students to conduct on-site inspections in enterprises, communities, and environmental protection projects in the Yangtze River Delta region to gain an in-depth understanding of the practical application of sustainable development and enhance students' practical skills.
Cultural experience activities: Organize students to experience traditional Chinese cultural, visit historical sites, etc., to appreciate the historical and cultural heritage and regional characteristics of Jiangsu.
Senior teaching team: Invite well-known experts and scholars to give lectures in person, share the latest research results and practical experience in the sustainable development of the Yangtze River Delta and other cutting-edge research findings and experience.
Group discussions: Students will be divided into groups to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges on related topics, cultivating teamwork and innovative thinking.

The applicants should fulfill the following requirements:
1.Have a strong interest in geographical science and related fields.
2.Have excellent English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and be able to communicate fluently for academic exchange.
3.Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
[项目费用Project Expenses]
1．本项目不收取学费
2．办理签证及其他相关费用由学生自理
3．国际差旅费用、往返学校及在当地的私人交通费用由学生自理
4．文化体验活动费：如参观博物馆、实地考察等费用由学校提供
5．学校提供研学期间的午餐
6．早晚餐由学生自理
7．学校提供集体宿舍住宿，学生因个人原因产生的住宿费由个人自理
8．其他杂费：例如保险费、洗衣费、电话费等个人开销由学生自理
1-This project does not charge tuition fees.
2-Visa and other related expenses shall be borne by the students themselves.
3-International travel expenses, round-trip expenses to and from the school, and private transportation expenses in the local area shall be borne by the students themselves.
4-The cost of cultural experience activities, such as the cost of visiting museums and field trips, will be provided by the school.
5-The school provides lunch during the research and study period.
6-Breakfast and dinner will be borne by the students themselves.
7-The school provides collective dormitory, and the accommodation fee incurred by the students for personal reasons will be borne by the individuals themselves.
8-Other miscellaneous fees, such as insurance fees, laundry fees, telephone fees, and other personal expenses will be borne by the students themselves.

1.申请时间：2024年4月10日-4月25日。
2.申请材料：下载并填写《南师大锦绣江苏暑期学校申请表》（见附件）
3.提交申请：提交填写完整的申请材料，并发送至邮箱nnu_summerschool@qq.com
4.截止时间：2024年4月25日，在此之后申请通道关闭。
5.审核时间：申请截止后的5个工作日内。
6.录取通知：审核结束后的5个工作日内，通过电子邮件向被录取的学生发送录取通知并进行确认。
7.未被录取通知：若于2024年 5月10日之前未收到录取通知，则默认为未被录取。
